Thread: Question re Affiliate links

Hi there, I am pre-producing my website on Blue Voda before I subscribe to the hosting etc, and being new to web-design I have a question which I hope can be answered here:

I wish to put a few affiliate links on my site and wondered how to do this?

Do I copy the picture provided, and then enter the affiliate click bank code into the hyperlink box URL or is this the wrong way of doing it?

Yes, that's one way of doing it. Another way is to use HTML boxes and paste the relevant HTML code into the box. Many people/companies have produced their own links for you to use and it's just a matter of copying their HTML and pasting into HTML boxes. For further info - check out the hyperlinking tutorial by following the help and tutorials link beneath my signature.

One quick thing:

When you enter the HTML clickbank link into the HTML box, when will the banner be live on the site? can it be viewed only when your site is actually online? and if so, how easy is it to mover the banners around your website once this is done?

It will be live once you have published the page that it is on.
You an re-arrange your pages at any time and simply re-publish when you are happy.

You are very welcome!

One other thing - most of the affiliate banners, etc are NOT hosted on your site - which is good for you also - that code is pulling the pic from their sites.
