Thread: Still don't get bookmarking

I've set a link at the top of my page to link to text within my page.
I've used the page address followed by #text to link to.
( www.informedretirement.com/travel.html#Air travel )
Do I need to set additional code in order to have the link work?

Not sure but the upper case "A" may be the problem.

I tried using lower case "a" in my link and then used an underscore between words to eliminate the space, but neither worked. Any other possibilities?

By looking at the code- it appears that the bookmarks were not placed.

WHen placing the bookmarks, make sure to name them and then press ok.
Then move to where you desire it to start. Make sure to save and then publish.

I would start over and try again. Delete the bookmarks if they are there and simply try again. Keep it one word and all lower case.

How do you set a bookmark? I'll name the first link www.informedretirement.com/travel.html#airtravel. Now how do I set a Bookmark?

First you have to name and set the bookmark. Then you would reference it in the link as you did.

So lets set the bookmark. On the top menu bar click on -Insert and then scroll down to Bookmark and click on it.

This will put a little flag on the work area. You can drag in the sides and top to make it very small. If you double click on the book mark it will open a window and put a default name of bookmark1. You can change this to
airtravel as you gave in your example. Click ok and then drag the flag to the area that you wish to go to when airtravel is clicked. That will "set" the bookmark.

You already know how to reference it with the # and then name of the bookmark.

That outta do it!
