Thread: A Multi-Uploader for Photos

I would like a multi-image uploader for photos ... or if one is in place, would someone please tell me how it is done. Adding a photo one by one for the rotator is very time consuming, I'm doing a few hundred pics at a time and my wrist and fingers get wore out.

Try SELECT ALL in your 'folder' of images to upload, then COPY TO your BV images file....in BlueFTP, connect, and once again COPY TO your newly stuffed BV image file to the server..(this way it overwrites with all the old and the new)....Poof!

You can even use this same method to re-create a folder within your BV Images folder specifically for your rotator to draw from.
Now they're all there ready to "pick" from.....

It's a sports team site, for Junior A Hockey in Halifax, Nova Scotia. So with this I take plenty of pics at each game and any fights that break out I video tape, so I upload them all to my site, making a review page for each game, 56 games and more events will make for a very large website at the end of the year. Parents whose boys play on the team from far and near really appreciate the coverage, they get to watch their boys play through the lens of my camera.

Hi Vasili ... that is great news. Throughout time the folder would truly be stuffed, am I able to have more than one folder ... like call the next image folder image2, then image3, etc. etc., will that still work? I've read once that with the bandwidth available with blue voda one would rarely ever run out, I'll be needing to key an eye on mine for sure ... In fact I'll keep a LadyEye on it ... :)

could you please elaborate on the uploading on images procedure...please..i'm a bit confused..

well it is great for uploading the entire folder to the directory, however to insert all of the images in the rotator you still need to pick one by one, and it's two clicks each photo, unless there is something that I am missing, this is what I wish for .... to be able to select all when you are actually adding them to the page you will publish ....

Is there a step I am missing to be able to do this, or is it not available??

Thank you, yes I am understanding this part about the uploading of the photos dozens at a time, but how is it I actually insert the photos dozens at a time onto a web page that I am creating and will publish. I believe this is the step that I am missing .....

For this page of photos from an inter-squad game, I was able to upload the entire amount of photos at once, but to put them in the rotator I had to add photos individually. This is my question ... how to add them into the rotatorby the dozens or hundreds or whatever quantity other than one at a time.

no short cuts for this.
