The hosting services provided by VODAHOST is just outstanding, no comparison with other webhosts, and the support is also gr8.

But i would like vodahost to give their customer like us this feature of Private Nameserver. We (vodahost's customers) certainly do not want to show our customers where we are hosting our servers from.

Hope this will be the next upcoming features provided by vodahost.

I have no problems with clients, friends, etc knowing that my sites are hosted at Vodahost. Besides, I think that this is outside the control of any webhosting service.......

you can have private name servers for one time US$30 set up fee, please submit a support ticket.

Wow, yet another service I was not aware of...........live and learn......

David, a private nameserver isn't to keep people from knowing that Voda is the host (they'll still see that) but it keeps your name off when they go to whois. Like having a private phone number.

Plus it will impress your friends

hello admin, i wanted to hide the nameservers from my domain names when people use the whois ( eg. show something like ns1.nhugu.com rather than ns1.vodahost.com - btw nhugu is by website do check it out ) its not that i don't want ppl to know where i have hosted my website from, but i don't want my competetors to know where i have my host

bottom line, i don't want more competion from my competors.

n yes david, i don't have any problem if my friends or relatives know about my webhost, infact i would b glad to let them know about my webhost and the IT related services that i have been providing. and yes if u do need any design related services do check out my site @ nhugu.com ;)

30.00 per month or yr lol 30.00 per year is fantastic everyone would switch then vodahost :) but i know the devils home isn't frozen yet hehe but my question is this is it dedicated or just private?

ok, now i have a slight idea of what private nameserver is but still am not quite sure. it it something like it hides the nameserver like it hides my nameserver from ns3.vodahost.com to something like ns3.hiddenhost.com?

If your websiste is abc.com you can have the matching name servers of.

ns1.abc.com
ns2.abc.com

This is up to you, I suggest just doing on your primary domain and swtiching all your sites to the name servers of your primary domain.

so admin, do u mean that if i have a primary domain name, abc.com, then i will have my nameserver as ns1.abc.com and ns2.abc.com and for all of my website i can have the nameservers as the above (ie., ns1.abc.com and ns2.abc.com)

about the cost for the private nameservers? after i pay the required amount? it it $30 additional per year?

so, now i have to renew my membership with vodahost soon, so that means that i have to pay $95.4 (membership) and $30 for the private nameservers. Then from the next year i pay just $95.4 for membership as well as the private nameserver?

The private nameserver is a one time only payment. This means you only pay for this ONCE, you never have to pay for it again. it costs US$30, and it will only be billed one (1) time, next year or the year after you do not have to pay for it again.

You never have to pay private name servers again.

i did open a support for the private nameserver to be added in my account, but the answer that i got is that i add some IP address in the domain control panel.

as u had told earlier i was looking to put something like ns1.myserver.com rather than any ip address.

what would b the correct way to open a support ticket for adding private nameservers?
