I find that the dots grid to be a weak aid to positioning objects on the page. Far better to have horizontal and vertical lines. Now that would be really helpful.

Hi, would be a good idea. But if its any help? Yahoo has a free widget that is quite good for this & other drawings. It’s a transparent grid that you can put over any page to help with drawings.

Good luck.
The best way to make sure items are on the page in the right positions - is to utilize the x/y coordinates on the bottom right. Those position everything EXACTLY - better than any grid.
Beth, I agree the x and y coordinates will position everything absolutely in the correct place but we know major software usually gives the user alternative ways of doing things on the principle that "there is more than one way to skin a cat" (photoshop is an excellent example: give half a dozen people a small project and it is likely that no 2 would go about using all the same tools and methods). Bluevoda recognises that different people use different work flows: hence there is a grid and the coordinates. My suggestion is merely that I think the grid could be improved, and I still think that is the case.
Thanks Chris, I'll look that one up.

James.
Not arguing with you James - just was mentioning the x and y coordinates, as I find most don't realize they exist.
Sorry Beth, I have a bad habit of being too direct for my own good. I did not mean to sound rude or confrontational in any way. You have helped me an enormous amount over understanding issues I didn't know existed let alone understand, so thank you so much. I admit it took me a while to find the x and y coordinates and it suddenly made a job easy in the days before bluevoda copied to the exact same position from one page to another.
Regards,
James.
Thanks Beth,
I didnt realize it was there.
