How often to do a sitemap?

How often should a sitemap be done? As often as you add more pages? or just do it once and it will be suffice?

A sitemap should be kept up-to-date at all times or it is of no use. Get rid of old and put on new - and a site-map isn't just for pages, but also for products, if you have them - which might not have their own pages.

Thanks Bethers ... I added one a few weeks or more ago ?? (forget now) and I didn't really realize you needed to keep it up like that, guess I never thought about it until today ... thanks ... I'll get to re-doing mine again .... :)
