How to get Flash Pro 8 to talk with a MySQL Database

Hi, I'm using Flash Pro 8 and have an in depth understanding of the program.

My problem is that I don't know how to get my Flash program to talk to my database, I would prefer to use the Web Service Description Language (WSDL) over XML. The app is dynamic, it has thousands of dynamic values that need to talk to multiple MySQL databases. Where do I start, and how do I get the Flash pro 8 web components to talk to a MySQL database (both local and remote would be helpful).
