    Hi Screen-Notes,

I have downloaded and tested your application.
However, i have not been successful in creating a form processing file.

Let me start by saying that i tried to install it on two different PCs. On the XP one, it didn't install at all. It gave me the following error:

#1 These handles closed by Liberty Basic.
Please add the appropriate CLOSE commands.

On the Vista PC, the software installed. However, after the first launch, through the installation wizard "Launch Viper BVFP" button, it denied launching again, providing the following error:

    File not founfd: VIIBVFP.TKN

I reinstalled it (by downloading again). I went on trying to process a simple form. It correctly recognized the form fields, and allowed me to provide the necessary options, however, when i reached the end (publishing, or uploading, whatever you want to call it) it didn't upload anything though it said it correctly published.

Remarks: i see no thank you page / error page settings
Also, i don't know if it can handle multiple choice listboxes.

I would expect that since it is a paid for software, it would also allow data merging (including the values submitted in the emails). It might be there but i can't know since i could not complete it.
I would also expect a Banned IPs option.
I would also expect more validation options (as equal fields, credit card validation, password strength validation, and some more.

I also see that it has many similarities to ABVFP but i suppose that this is normal, as more or less the procedure is the same. I was surprised to see that there is also a file named "DBTS_ABVFP" in the source files!

A similar software can be seen at http://www.tools4php.com/ (PHP Form Wizard).

I believe that this is a good try, which, however, needs improvements. Please note that ABVFP, though being server side and not client side, has the same features more or less, for free. Also, the new ABVFP v.3 wich is in beta testing stage, has the same and even more features (field by field validation, separated email / database functionality, file attachments, automatic DB INTERFACE creation (to view / edit / add / delete / list / export the database info, data merging, Banned IPs, referer check, conditional submitting, Sendmail and PHP Mailer mails, variety of ready made forms in html or native BV formats, Saving of the project so it can be easily edited anytime without recreating it from scratch) , html mails based on templates, and is free!. So i would consider adding features to justify the $19.95 price.

    Hello navaldesign,
I’ve been a vodaHost customer for a number of years. Nevertheless, I only recently joined the community forum under the name of “screen-notes”. I am really a computer programmer and only write various types of code for websites out of necessity. In Jun 2008 when I first joined, I made certain promises to help the community, but my daily schedule has kept me from fulfilling that promise. Helping people 1 at a time seemed an endless task. Nevertheless, in my spare time I decided to try taking a more aggressive approach and try to help as many people as possible with one single action. What I came up with was a special BV form processor wizard called “VIPER II BV Form Processor“.

Please visit the site (still in the construction phase) for details and an entirely free anonymous download link:

    http://www.viperii.com

I am working on a number of more powerful features that I will slowly incorporate over the next few weeks in the form of updates. Because of the ongoing nature of this project I decided to make it available for $19.95 in the hopes that any funds generated would defer the ongoing costs of undertaking this project on my own. Nevertheless, the program has an extensive, anonymous, unrestricted trial period that will allow anyone to use it to get their forms up and running free of charge.

If you would be so kind as to offer your opinion, comments and/or advice on the program and the project I would be sincerely in your debt.

    Thank you!
    Screen-notes
