- It is my understanding that BV10 includes some updated functions (via the new Unicode formatting), and I am unfamiliar with them as I do not yet use BV10. You would be better off asking Holly (Gen. ladyEye) at Ladyeye@LadyEye.net .
- I am deducing that you did not start with a New page in BV ....opting instead to change pages already 'done.'
That is not what was called for, as this is a very, very simple process .... your pages have less than 10 elements to them, and it is only a matter of positioning them accurately ONCE, and then using that page as a basis to clone however many you need from there: simply Copying/Pasting your text, elements, and Forms from your previously created pages was all that was needed from then on, and I can imagine this total project taking no more than 2 hours on the outside.....
You are having too much trouble doing this ..... it's not supposed to be this difficult.
You should consider having me do it for you directly (meaning you are advised to go into your Control Panel and change your password to something on a temporary basis -- allowing me to publish directly to yur server -- and when I 'm done, go back and change your password back to what it was .... so you don't forget it and so all your previous settings are still as they were). -
- Note that I had to send it 3x --- the last email is right, as others did not "attach" items properly....
Yes...if after COPY TO the BV file and the images to both the BV-IMAGES folder and creating a FlatRock folder in MyDocuments and COPY TO the images to that folder also (to mimic the path when originall created) and the file when re-opened still has the red "X's" on the images, you WILL have to "Strip-and-Stick" the images onto a page --- and I would recommend starting with a blank new page, this way you can go from BV page to page using the XY Axis tool to precisely position/insert the images just as they are on the Demo I did.
I hope you get that process: establish paths by re-creating folders and copying images/elements to your BV folders, re-opening the file to see if that worked, and if not, using a new page and the XY Axis tool to "duplicate" by dutifully inserting one at a time to re-construct accordingly......(then remember to save your new page as "index" and fill in the PAGE PROPERTIES/META Info before you publish). - Thank you, again Vasili, I am beginning to think someone does not want me to get this website up and running, I truly do believe this. Also, I have the layout on BlueVoda right now, I have to install the images, is that correct? Thank you for being there for me, I really do appreciate it. Talk to you soon.
pammy53 - Yes, but once you open a BV9 file in BV10, it will forever "dedicate" it to BV10.....using BV10 on the file will not harm it in any way whatsoever.
You may think me archaic using BV9 still, but until they work out all the bugs and refine the procedural glitches I am constantly helping people with (first they have to admit they exist), I will not be able to work as confidently with BV10 as I really need to be --- which translates into speed and carefree precision.
Since you are having difficulties extracting, I will send all the elements as separately attached items.
Remember to follow standard Folder protocols to maintain files/element associations (unless you figure it easier to simply "lay in" the elements in precisely the same order and position as in the file originally --- use the X-Y Axis tool in the bottom-right of the BV workpane to see exact positioning of highlighted objects).
No big - gimme 5 to send it out! Glad you liked it, too!
