Well.....at least in Joomla it has everything (including eCommerce as an add-on), but having pored over the new cart Brad is bringing to VH (Magento), I have already insatlled in on a project and am finding it easier to use that osC, Soho, and even ZEN. Since it has a CMS foundation, I am looking forward as to how hard it will be to use the RSS method of loading product rather than the "manual" Excel file way, even if resotting to using a 3rd party utility ..... the set-up/customization process sure is a helluva lot easier being more of a "block" method" with far less'coding,' so I will have to see if I have the nerve to switch a few things over! LOLOL
I hate never knowing what tomorrow will bring!

    Cool beans!
Joomla IS pretty versatile, and I think it is under-developed --- yest, it has the capability to do so many things well, but I really wish they would spend more time developing an interface more along the lines of either the WYSIWYG model, or structure the whole thing more along the lines of Magento ... (which IS a CMS foundation, but with the eCommerce add-on included as a major function). Magento eliminates a lot of the confusing terms and coding aspects, and keeps it more in a "block" editing manner similar to Soholaunch.

Amything to make it easier for Goobers like myself! I struggle every time I do anything, being the perfectionist, and I think that if things were made 30% as easy to use as Blue Voda, we would all be further ahead!

I keep forgetting to ask --- what kind of site are you planning?

Anything in particular that you might need in the way of an add-on that I may know about to help you finalize your plan?

    Hey, Tom!

Glad to hear it .... I too am rather overly-excited with all the new goodies in Joomla, which makes it hard for me to write in stone the things to line up to actually build it without changing or adding as I go! (I am bad at that -- underestimating the time involved to have all my eye can see!)

Lemme know if I can help in any way. The best job I did using Joomla was probably the biggest job I had so far (which I changed 3x during the process -- simplifying things so I could get it done! LOL No, it was more like because it was more of a global audience and I had to crawl out of MY box). Look here on the "Overview" page, first Sample in Portfolio
It still took me a long time, and I had a bad time getting help with the multiple languages (the only outside help I had on this), wanting perfection for the client and always being afraid the translations were not right!

If you are looking for a Premium Joomla Template, I could sure use the business (select "CMS")!!! LOLOLOL ;>

Only way is to use ABVFP. By doing so and using the correct field name extensions, spammers will not be able to send links to you, so probably they will stop. Using the embedded captach will also make them thnk twice before they loose their time to try to post spam to you.

    Hi Tom,

well it happens attimes. However, it Allways depends on the final computer. In fact, what you downloaded with the download manager, is the same zip that you would have downloaded through the direct download. Anyway, glad you solved it.
