    Hi,
Well it's Sunday and I have some time to work on my websites. I want to
put some banner ads up (VodaHost, Go Daddy, ext), I have built my pages with BlueVoda, and I'm wondering what is the best way to go about it. I
tried copying and pasting but they are not clear. They give you options
to use Java Script, or Html but I'm not sure how to proceed, if someone could take me step by step through the process I would be forever thankful.

    Hi,

Click on the image icon in BV and open an image frame in you page.
Right click and select properties>image and select the image that you have downloaded or [saved as] from VodaAffiliates or *******.

Click on "bumiweb.com" below to see an example.

      Re: Affiliate Links

      Thanks for your response Zuriatman,
When I sign on as an affiliate and put the banner ad on my website it will automatically have my affiliate code in it? How can you check to be sure you would receive credit for the purchase of the customer you referred? Sorry for my ignorance but I've never done any of this myself, except text ads I've done myself through Clickbank.
      Thanks,
      jerryl

Why don't you try checking out the Affiliated program which would be a good way to make money for ads on your site.

There are many threads in this forum that would help you to understand the entire concepts of banners, affiliate banners, banner placements, and all the "how-to" questions of working with banners.

The VodaGold Affiliate Program has all the tools and technologies for you to earn some serious bank for all your referral business, and is one of the highest paying programs out there.

And, some words to the wise about ClickBank too .......

            Re: Affiliate Links

            Hi,
An addition to my previous post, I am able to get the banner ads from CJ on
my website fine but can't seem to get them to link correctly. I've tried Java
Script and HTML options with no success. I do have BlueVoda's banner ad
on the site and it works fine. I would put a link but I'm waiting to publish
until I'm done. Anyone who has experience with CJ?
            Thanks,
            jerryl

              Re: Affiliate Links

              Yeah Vasili,
I've been looking but not finding info needed. I know you more experienced website builders must get tired of the same questions over and over but us
"newbies" can look for hours and get information overload, and finally get to the point that we just want a simple answer to a simple (to you anyway)
question. I've used BlueVoda to build the page, and just need to know how
to get the banner to link correctly?
Thanks for any help anyone is willing to give,

                Re: Affiliate Links

Well, maybe you should think to provide a link to the page in question, so someone might better apply "experience" to help solve a problem rather than spin wheels?

And, according to your original question to "provide step-by-step instructions" you needn't post again similarly: my post above contains previous threads with the "instructions" you need (as did they).

Part of the great thrill in building a website is knowing that you did it yourself along the way you wanted to do it, and can take full credit for it as a result: you can be "helped" but you are the one to do it. Part of the job in doing it is to do the footwork and learn like everyone else did, and not to post and ask for personalized "instructions," which is an insult to the Community as a whole.

It is a lot easier if you work according to a Web Plan, methodically and within a framework of reference ... easier to see measurable progress too (no need to sap our own enthusiasm!) .... if you don't have one, take a break and spend 20 minutes writing one. You would be surprised how it helps to keep forward momentum and from being "overwhelmed" when facing a small challenge.

                  Re: Affiliate Links

                  Hey Vasili,
As I said in my previous post I haven't published my page yet, wanting to finish it first. It is just a page to park the domain on until I can make a website (******* parks any unused domains so I thought I would make a quick page and park it myself). Anyway I'll go and publish it with the banner
so you can see it. www.moneymakinginfosite.com
                  Thanks,

                    Re: Affiliate Links

Check out this thread on HTML Affiliate Links > should have the most details in one short thread.

And you can always "down a page" either by publishing a blank (or a "placeholder" page) over it, or deleting it via Blue FTP in BV (TOOLS >> FTP MANAGER)

                      Thank you Vasili,
I got the banner to show up in the upper left hand corner when previewed as you said, now how do you see the banner on the build page to position it?
In other words I only see it when previewed, it's invisible on the build page.
                      Thanks for your help,

                        QUOTE
Keep in mind that the HTML banner AND the code both rigidly relate and position themselves in relation to the top left corner of your HTML box, as does the X-Y axis tool in the lower right of your BV Workpane. This way, not only will you be able to perfectly align your boxes, but also your banners ... all by using the X-Y axis tool as it relates to that all-important top left corner of your boxes.
It may seem tedious, but it is very helpful to size your HTML boxes to the exact size of the banner code (using the rulers in the BV pane) so you can position them much more accurately during layout. You will ALWAYS need to go back and use the arrows to move them one click at a time to the precise position you desire, but that is all part of the efforts to make Affiliate Marketing work!

                          Hi Vasili,
I don't know what a HTML box is, I don't know where the X-Y axis tool is nor how to access it.
