  • site maps for add-on sites

I have tried to make site maps for my add on sites with BV site map gen. I used the URL for the add on site and did a crawl. I gives me a new site map in my blue voda folder, but I have done this for all three sites and I only have on site map in the blue vada folder. On Google I can only get serch results on my main site, and in the google webmaster tools it gives me warnings that all of my URL's are set to the same priority, but I gave them different values when I made the individual sit maps. Thanks for your help.

You did not list yoru sites.
Make sure after you crawl the site you upload it to the correct folder. You publish it just like you would a page from the site crawler. I assume all of the sites are built with BV?

Re: site maps for add-on sites

All my sites were made using blue voda. I used the blue voda site map gen. to make the sitemap of my first and main domain. I have made many add on domains that are stand alone sites, but the generator only lets my make one sitemap. I used www.xml-sitemaps.com to make the add on site maps and saved the xml documents in the correct folders as sitemap. On the surface it looks fine, but google says that the sitemaps for the add on sites are no formatted properly. An example of one of the add on sites is refiyourmobile.com or lakehomerefi.com My main site that the sitemap is working on is refimytrailer.com

      Thanks

I need to see what the errors google is giving you. If you can get it real quick that would be good, crazy busy day. Or I am sure someone else here can tell you what is wrong if I don't.

A screen shot is good or if you can cut and paste

Did you upload the sitemap? You need to put it in the domain folder if its an addon.. in the public_html/name of site.

if its the main domain, then just public_html

            You give google the following
            http://www.yoursitename.com/sitemap.xml

Re: site maps for add-on sites

I went to xml site generator, and it says download uncompressed xml doc. I saved the xml doc for each add-on site as sitemap and saved each one into the bluevoda folder named for each add-on site where I store the pages of the add-on sites. I then published the site as normal. Do I have to manually upload these sitemaps, and if so how? Thanks

Re: site maps for add-on sites

I still can't figure out how up-load the addon site maps. It is not an option on the xml-sitemaps.com gen. as far as I can see, and all I can think to do is to republish the addon site with the xml sitemap saved in my add-on sites folder.

                Thanks for your help
