  • insert a year planning

Hi, since a few days I am trying to make a agenda (planning) in a table to show availability to my clients. But working with tables in Voda is very limited and it takes a lot of time. I am wondering if there is another way to do it, for example to insert a table made with Excel...? Thanks for your help.

No.... you cannot add, embed, or otherwise insert anything Excel, even as an OLE Object --- it simply will not work. (Search Forums using Excel as Keyword to find multiple other posts)

You might add a Web Calendar, though, which is available via your Control Panel and the Fantastico option.
Web Calendar can be configured to allow Visitors to "pencil in" their requested times, or you can simply manage it yourself to show times available, as you intended.
As a web-based function, you can easily access and update it during the day from any device (computer or cell phone), making it an easy to use and very functional tool.

Ok, thank you. What do I have to do exactly (I went in Control Panel and searched Fantastico without results, sorry). Thanks for your help...

In the Fantastico area, Web Calendar is listed in the left margin.
Install it to the domain you wish to use it on, creating a named directory for it (www.DomainName.com/calendar or maybe even www.DomainName.com/appointments )
To install it on your Blue Voda page, click on iFrame icon and then double-click on the Frame to add the URL to your calendar. (At this time you can configure your iFrame to match the style of your page desired: with or without scroller bars, outline or not, etc.)
Your Web Calendar will thus show on your web page as if it was part of the page originally, and still function according to how you configured the calendar itself (you need to login to the calendar directly to customize it).

You will get the hang of it once you go through the steps .... it's pretty intuitive, but it is a process.

This is an example of a Web Calendar installed via iFrame onto a Blue Voda web page, showing how it has been customized with colors, layout, etc. >> http://www.bikinijoolz.com/calendar.html

          Re: insert a year planning

Thanks for your help, it works but unfortionnatly it is not really what I am looking for. This calendar is more meant for activities, events etc. per day. What I would like to create is an overview for a year of the availability of holiday homes (colored cases) for our holiday resort. It's very easy to create this with tables (in Word or Excel) but you said that this cannot be inserted. Is there any other programm which allows to create tables a bit more easily than the table function of Voda?

            No, there is not.

You can do a Google Search for another calendar more suited to your preference (and have the ability to configure layout differently -- although the Web Calendar does have the ability to display days in more than 9 formats, including shaded manners) and find many that may or may not be free of charge.
You might also Google for a 'reservations' or 'booking script' to find one free that does what you want .....
