Thread: Help needed- Remote connection for mysql db using Php-mysql wizard

My domain name with vodahost is nextgencc.net.

When i try to use php-mysql wizard software it is asking for Remote Server name, User name & Password to connect to my above domain's MYSQL DB.

It is giving error "access denied for user"

I need details to connect to my remote database.

Hi,

You may have to go to your cpanel, MySql, and create the db and user name and password. Depending on the software you are using. Also make sure its linux compatible software you are trying to install.

I'm sorry, you CANNOT remotely connect. VH, as most hosters, do NOT allow remore conections for security reasons. If you make a forum search on the topic you will find threads where this has been answered before. Remote connection to the MySQL server requires Telnet or SSH connections wich are not allowed by VH.
