Default disappearing databases

Any idea why my data bases should disappear? In cpanel I can see that they are taking up disk space, but when I try to access them via MySQL I get empty boxes! It has happened once before and they reappeared after a few hours. My data base run web sites are down while this happens.

You can make a temp html page informing the users that the site is down, and also the main info whatever you feel important.

Keep 2 versions of .htaccess, one for the database driven one and the other for just html. when its down, change the .htaccess file. when the server is back, you can change it back.

But all these are for emergency, hope vodahost fixes this problem permanently.

Every thing's running OK now. It's scary when it happens. I'm backing up right now!
Thanks for the replies and advice.
