Thread: Strange Occurrence . . .

I haven't made any changes to my website "menu" until today. I inserted a new page, so I added the label to my menu.php. When I published, it's now showing up a funny glowing color instead of it's previous white box with red border and type.

Any ideas why this might have changed? If so, how do I get it back to the original? The style is still showing correctly.

Im not sure, but maybe you changed properties when you added the button? Id go back to the template and do it again.

I tried taking the new button out, and even changing the style of the buttons, but no matter what I do, I get this fucshia pink background.

I added my Friendly Songs and Gift Certificate buttons a couple months ago and had no problems.

Any more suggestions out there?

When you browse your template does the image show the same? If thats a customized button Id redo the menu php and if necessary, delete it and redo it.

I cant find anything in the source code anywhere CLOSE to that color. And I have no explaination for the gremlin, other than when you republished it somehow got changed by a copy n paste or something to alter it.

Ok, this probably happens because your site was built with BV8 and now you have edited the page in BV9. Now, BV buttons are images, and most of them are png's. Whilst BV8 ignored the transparency properties of the button images, BV9 takes them in consideration. The fuchsia color is how BV9 renders transparency (your buttons are transparent).
Solution:
Open the button image (you will find it in c/programs/BlueVoda Website Builder / navbar . Your image is 464646 and 4646646 for the mouse over, one at a time, using Windows Paint. After opening them save them . Simply save them, you don't need to do anything.

Windows Paint saves the images WITHOUT transparency, so the buttons will become white again.

Now open your page in BV, double click the menubar, change the menu buttons style to another button (not important which, this is only a intermediate step) both for the normal and the mouse over image. Then turn them back to the original buttons. You will see that the buttons have turned back to normal.

Actually.. i just played with bv and when i use that particular button, my buttons turn pink too! So thats a bug, report that on the bv thread, cuz it also changed to hot pink in the browser on me too!
