Default Script for image gallery

Hello dear colleagues from the VH forum,

Can someone please point me the direction to a php script of an image gallery where the pictures would be very small and when You click on the small images it would show it in a bigger dimension on the right(or up) also with some - next - previous buttons.

Thanks in advance,
pipesportugal

Hi Chris,

My reason was that php = free, if You give proper credit to the author, right ?
Also to be hosted at VH, can not be an asp script.
What other kind of script language, free, or in worst case cheap, accepted by VH servers, would You recommend ?

Thanks,
pipesportugal

Hi, the small list below is one of many that are out there. What are you trying to achieve with the images. IE: Presentation, sales, or just a way to enlarge an image from between some text.

http://www.ornj.net/ (easy one to use)

http://javascript.internet.com/misce...generator.html

http://eunq.com/

http://jalbum.net/

http://www.gallarific.com/

http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex4/indexb.html

http://www.cssplay.co.uk/menu (Not quite so easy, but some good gallery's.)

PHP doesn't equal free. The parse you can download and install on a server is free, but the scripts that can be run are free or paid. Some you can find online for free, others cost either a one time fee, a subscription, and sometimes a one time fee with a subscription for updates.

You are correct Vodahost servers cannot run asp scripts as they require windows servers, all vodahost servers run on linux.

Hi many thanks for all the replies,

The last one, the cssplay.co.uk is beatiful and it suits my purposes as the author just wants to have is work recognized and I will not take his name out from his scripts in case I decide to use one of those.

Thanks for helping,
pipesportugal

Hi, must admit there are some nice gallery's in this site collection of scripts. Some you have to dig around the pages source code to get the css file, as some are remote on his server. If your not sure? pop a post back here.

Good luck.
