what is the best way ?

hello,
i want to make a simple website which on the home page there will be a space (like a "search" space to insert a number ( for example any barcode like:sm123456) and by submitting that number it will be linked to a specific page .
what is the best way to do that? does it related to sql or what?

i will appreciate for a quick answer .

Possibly the easiest way is to just have a link on the page that would go to the specific page, but just put this page behind a password protected folder area.

could you guide me how to make what i want using blue voda website builder
what i need to do is to have a insert box that clients can insert a code that i will give them and by in insert them in the box they will get the target page

For that, you will need to have a script made up, so you would need to post in the freelance projects. The tutorial in the link above was the free way to achieve this & would only take a few minutes.

i dont undertand ,isnt there any application on the blue voda builder to make it by myself ? is it something that i need to pay for ?

There is not an application in BV that will do what you want.
If you need a script to do exactly what your after, post in the project area.
The alternative is to have a password protected directory that the private page is published to & you just give the password to whom ever wants to see the content. Password might be sm123456.

Am i limited by the amount of different passwords for different contents.

Youd need a password protected folder for each password unless you had custome scripting done.. or used a forum or cms to build with to start. NO easy way to make complex sites.
