forum problems

Hi there,
I instaled today my sites forum via Fantastico,
the instalation whent OK without any problems,
then at the forum whent to ACPanel and in the system
tab they were asking to update from version 3.05 to 3.06
what I have also done without issues following the simple instructions,
but then a problem came...

a message is at the Board Index , this one:

Information

Please delete, move or rename the install directory before you use your board. If this directory is still present, only the Administration Control Panel (ACP) will be accessible.

I tryed renaming the Directory that in my case its a folder named forum, and the forum just gets offline, disapears , not there, renamed back the directory to the old name Forum and its back again but with this message
that doesn't let the Board index show up...

It would of meant going into your control panel & renaming or deleting the install Directory for the forum. Must admit that it is quite often they just say to rename or delete the install.php file only. But there is quite likely security reasons they have asked for the whole install directory.

Now this is of help, I did already fixed it mate, yesterday I guess,
and in fact was that small thing, after the update on phpBB3 to
3.6 version the message I posted showed up but for someone that
doesn't know where to look it is a Little vague and not very clear,
The way you told me now would be the right way to appear cause it
would provide immediately the spot and folder you have to either delete
or rename...
