Thread: shared hosting MySQL server ??

I currently use Voda Host. I'm working on a memberhip site shere I hope to have approx. 100 - 200 members. I've been told I should not use a shared hosting MySQL server but rather I should get a commercial grade server. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? I know little to nothing about MySQL servers. Does it sound reasonable to need a commercial grade server?

Any input or suggestins would be appreciated.

Depends on the degree of security you need.
When you are on a shared hosting, you are certainly more vulnerable than on a dedicated one, but, however, secure enough for most purposes.
