| I have installed ABVFP 2.0 and have created a contact form, error page and thank you page for my website. On submission I get the Illegal Form Submission error. I have looked through all the posts with this problem and doubled checked everything within the tutorial. I just can't seem to locate my problem. Your help would be appreciated. The page with the contact form is www.KyleEdginton.com/contact.php. Thanks, Kyle ________________ Kyle Edginton www.KyleEdginton.com |

| Probably you have made a mistake in the form URL in the ABVFP control panel. This can simply be a missing www. or a missing http:// or something like that. Since your form opens in the full URL address (http://www............) also the URL in the ABVFP cp should be complete.

| Naval, ABVFP is great.I have used it for my forms on my website. I recently tried to login to check to see if it will allow me to create a opt-in page and was not able to. It seems the login and password info I have written down for ABVFP will not work. Is there a way to find out why? Do I need to delete the ABVFP I currently have working on my website and start from scratch with a new ABVFP?

ABVFP has sent you an email with your login info. Trace it, and your details are there. If you can't find it, you still have another option: Connect with FTP, browse the ABVFP folder to find the file dbts_ABVFP_confic. php . Double click it and it should open in Notepad. It contains all your login info, included the database ones.

| I've designed a simple contact form with a file upload feature. And two things are happening when I try to test: 1.) If I attach a file and hit submit, I get the following message in the error page: "...The field upload1 contained e-mail headers in the value submitted. This seems to be a cracking attempt and the message has not been sent.!..." 2.) If I do not attach a file and hit submit, then it redirects to a page not found (empty page). Can someone help me correct this??? |

| Naval, here's the link to my form: http://www.southonecapital.com/Careers.html Also, if I submit the form without filling the upload field it will go thru fine. I'd like to make the upload field a required entry by users. Thanks for the help. |

| There have been some security implementations that have affected the upload fields checking. Please download again the ABVFP zip, and replace only the file dbts_abvfp.php with the new one (just upload it to your site)

| I'm afraid that you can't (as you can't make require checkboxes and radio buttons) because if not filed in, they simply do NOT exist for the script. To make them required, you would need to add some code in the original script. This code of course should only work for the specific form, and for specific field names. This is a planned improvement for the next version.

| Hi Naval, I downloaded ABVFP and installed its files successfully to my root directory. I also created the ABVFP database and then went to DBTechnosystems, where I set up the parameters of a form. Besides creating an advanced form for my primary (jhwm.net) web site, I also want to create a form for one of my subdomain sites. So, as you instructed in your 6-11-07 post, I copied dbts_abvfp and dbts_ABVFP_config.php from the root directory to the subdomain folder of the site where I want the form. Questions: 1) Do I need to create a separate database for the form that will be on the subdomain site? 2) When I type "www.subdominURL/ABVFP" (inserting the actual URL of the subdomain when I do), should I land on the same page of the dbtechnosystems.com site that I got when I typed in "www.jhwm.net/ABVFP"? Thank you. |

Your ABVFP control panel will be the same one in your main domain, you will be setting up your subdomain forms from the same control panel.

| Thanks, Naval. Happy to report the advanced form is now up on my main site and working, with a few quirks. Haven't linked to the rest of the site yet, but it's at http://www.jhwm.net/contactform.html. The issues are: 1) I took the contactform.bvp supplied in the zip, re-arranged some of the fields into the order I wanted them, and deleted a few also. Result: When I try to 'tab through' the form's fields, the cursor doesn't always go to the next field down like it should. Also, in the form-submission e-mail, the fields aren't in the order I put them into on the form. How can I solve these two problems? 2) Immediately after submitting the completed form, my browser address bar shows the exact URL I specified in the Form Properties 'Action' field--a jhwm.net address. But the page I see is the submission-thankyou page of dbtechnosystems.com. How should I fix this? 3) I recall the tutorial saying something about files which have been uploaded and submitted via the ABVFP form, being accessible in the mySQL database I created. If so, the main benefit is that I don't need to save the attachments from notification e-mail to my PC--or is it something else? Just not sure I see what the database does for me. thanks, --Jim |
