Hello,

first of all thanks for the great help.

i followed the process of creating an advance form but failed to do so.

i only have 2 pages to create and only the 1st one has boxes for the visitors to fill.

so 1st page has 3 boxes(name,email and language) and submit button. and the 2nd page is "thank you page".

if i understand correctly, only the 2nd page needs to have teh short HTML code you gave implemented in it, is that correct?

also, when i'm going to "preview" mode, it shows the HTML on the page, is this normal? is it only disappears once page is published?

plaese help me with it, what am idoing wrong?

Nir:

obviously you are NOT using ABVFP, but the simple form/thank you page with script as described in the Forms tutorial.
If this is correct, then yes, the code will appear in your page in preview, because your browser doesn't "understand" php, it only renders html code. So, the php code is interpreted as simple text. It will disappear when published.

Hi. I managed to follow almost all the instructions in setting up the form. I tested the form and automatically created the database. I checked the database via the CP and the data entered was there. I also received a reply email (autoresponder).

However, after I clicked 'Submit', I was expecting to see my 'Thank You' page, but I got an 'HTTP 404' error instead.

Another question is that:
whenever I fill out the form (pretending to be a site visitor), I always end up in the ABVFP control panel login page, instead a 'thank you' page?

Hello again! Finally it's working! I ended up in the 'thank you' page.
As the 'administrator', I received the 'visitor's info' email.
But as a visitor, I did not receive my 'confirmation' email.

Sorry but I have another question.
How come the telephone number in the database automatically created is different from what the visitor had typed in the field?

The 'New Submission' email has the correct phone number but the database has different phone number; it's not even the correct country code.

And when I added another 'registered visitor', again I see the same phone number in the database - '2147483647'

What could be wrong?

I can't see anything wrong with the form. Unless you have somehow edited the dbts_abvfp.php file, it has no logical explanation. And unfortunately i can't see the file itself, since i don't have your login details. If you wish send me your login details and i will have an inside look.

Tested it, and everything is ok, i entered tel nr. 123456789 and that is what is also in the database. I see no errors.
