No, if ALL your images are gifs or jpg, it is not necessary. Please note that BV menu buttons, Logos, and ALL images that have been treated with the BV effects, will be always converted to png's so Bv will AUTOMATICALLY use the png f_i_x if it "sees" any png in the page

I just got my add on pointed to voda today the site is live the problem some of the pages that I did with bv 10. two shapes thats not images did not come out about 6 pages total heres a url so you can see www.jkteddybear.com/DRAGON-DECOR.html that its a bv shape it only happened with bv 10 the pages that i uploaded with bv 9 is fine.

I suppose you mean here in the forum ? Because probably this is what you typed when you signed up the first time. If you want it changed, let me know what username you would like and i will change it.

if you had looked at another page you would have noticed under the menu links i should be blue not white where my name is also should be blue not white and a yellow strip almost near he top is white.

ALL your pages have a blue background both where the menu links are and where your header is.

I don't know how my dragon decor, birdhouses and a couple of other pages is not showing right under my menu bars is a dark blue and header is dark blue my links are over a white strip compare these pages www.jkteddybear.com/DRAGON-DECOR.html to www.jkteddybear.com/EAGLE-DECOR.html you will see the difference. Dictionary spells in 'Americano' and not ENGLISH. Get fed up with seeing 300 red lines under my text on each page cos it 'thinks' it's wrong!

Can we not have a PROPER ENGLISH dictionary please seeing as it is the most commonly used language in the world?

Hopefully it will come. I went back to the old way for now using MS word.

I just download BV_10d and installed. But when I did some modification on my index page, and tried to publish it, it continue to give me an error that said: "general exception!" CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT THIS MESSAGE MEAN????? as up to now I can longer publish any more pages, because it keeps giving this message. PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!!!

Yes, that's a small bug in BV10. In BV9, when you had a mistake in the folder (public_html/foldername) BV would give a "Folder dosn't exist" message, now it gives a "General Exception" message. Check your folder.

Further to this: never had this kind of problem before. I did not change anything in the folders (which were loading up fine before), so I do not understand why/where things going wrong.

The sad fact is, that I am getting this stupid msg and can not upload a new page...

Check again that your folder name is correct ( public_html , if you are publishing in there, or public_html/foldername if you are publishing in a subfolder) Check also username and password. If ne_cessary, COMPLETELY delete everything from the 3 fields and re-type them from scratch. Make sure that you don't have awhite space (which is invisible) after the folder name, or the username or the password.

Hi.

I am trying to set up a set of glass effect buttons to replace one of my current menu options. I have been successful with one glass button on a page but when I attempt multiple glass buttons in BV I am not. When in BV the glass buttons all look the way I want (colours of background, text, text size, rollover effect etc) but when I preview the page all buttons are the original default colour and have the same wording on screen. When moving the mouse across each button the link is accurate and clicking on a button has the required result. How do I make the buttons show correctly? ps I have cleared all cache and tried but to no avail).

I noticed that the image tools are great. But isn't it making a lot of images that we place on the sites, not very SE friendly with not being able to> 1. have a descriptive name for the image like new-york-skyline.jpg instead of bv 12345.png.
And also the inability to not be able to add alt tags. Wasn't sure if adding another alt tag via page html would end up giving you 2 alt tags that wouldn't be correct. (as in one of them empty)

Hi,

Have just read through all seven pages of this thread, and cannot see that anyone else has this issue:

Rollovers on pages I have re-published under version 10 (pages that were created in earlier versions) are no longer working. They are showing both images ok, but there is no hand shaped mouse pointer, and no link appearing in the bottom left of my browser when I hover over them.

Secondly, I cannot see how to download version 9 again whilst these version 10 issues are resolved. There is mention in this thread that it will be made available, but I cannot see where to download it from (and yes, I do understand that version 9 may not be supported - I'll take my chances).
