of BlueVoda version 8.0.

What's New in BlueVoda 8.0?

Fixed:

- Alignment in Advanced button.
- Verify Links now handles all objects which include links, internal links are ignored.
- z-index of controls on forms was not affected by arrange tools.
- Improved Roll-Over image HTML
- Advanced button close window action did not work in FireFox.
- Advanced button now also should be visible in Opera
- Redesigned Marquee for better browser compatibility
- Menubar now displays hand instead of default cursor
- z-index problem while importing HTML
- GoMenu issues with frames
- When sound in Navigationbars was enabled the position was affected.
- Incompatibility issues when using transparency on videocards with no true colors.
- Table cell text wrapping did not work correctly.
- Alt+Numpad characters problem.

Minor Changes / Improvements

- Added: Windows Media Player properties: loop, autostart and hide.
- Added: Plugin properties: plugin space, loop, autostart and hide.
- Added: Improved Push Button sizing
- Added: Move up, Move down, Move left and Move right buttons for easier menu item management.
- Added: Characterset history
- Added: Formatting command to remove link in text.
- Added: TAB now allows you to step through the cells of a table.
- Added: Customizable grid and guide colors.
- Added: All form controls now have their own button on the toolbar.
- Added: New menubar theme: Office 2003
- Added: Dozens of minor bugs fixes and improvements

Major improvements & New Features

- Generated HTML from Text is now independent of screen resolution or videocard DPI settings, so text should look the same on every PC.
- Added: Improved Flash support, Flash component now displays a preview of the first frame.
- Added: Snap to grid
- Added: Real Player component
- Added: Option to generate thumbnail images in the Photo Gallery.
- Added: New option in Photo Gallery to specify alternate target frame (for example an inlineframe!)
- Added: Rulers now have 'trackers' to change the page size.
- Added: Support for targets in GoMenu.
- Added: Transparent fill effect in Shape object
- Added: More than 40 new shapes!
- Added: Image Maps with support for circle, rectangle and polygon hotspots. - Very Cool!
- Added: Bulleted Lists (Circle, Disc, Square, Numeric, Alpha, Roman and custom images).
- Added: Clone button to easily clone an existing page.

Hi,

just a nosy question about the poll result. Why would nearly 20% prefer dreamweaver? Does it offer $400 worth extra or simply personal opinion at play? Having looked at both BV is streaks ahead!

Good question, I guess some folks got money to burn. But main thing is,
users prefer BlueVoda by more than 3:1 since the beggining of the poll. I
think those are pretty good numbers.

To get back on track.....latest version has also improved visually as well
I can now read text clearer on small items......

Warning Note: when you download and run the new sooperdooper version
CHECK your IP No when trying to publish for the first time.

I had to put in a ticket for a constant 12041 error, wrong password !!
and the IP No had changed !!!!!!!!!

Thanks Hank..........fixed within the hour.

Now I can play with all the new goodies....Ahhhhrrrrr

Yes had the same issues and also on one computer another link to BV appeared on my desktop alongside the old version, on another computer BV8 over road it, don't know is that is an issue but thought you might like to know.

I agree ***** 3-1 are good numbers. I showed a very good web site designer BV and he was very impressed. God I sound like a creep but I am very, very pleased to have bumped into BV indeed,

BV8 is fantastic. Well done to the BV team.

Just some feedback to the helpdesk regarding my download problem when I kept getting the previous version 7.x and not version 8.

In South Africa there is a telecommunications monopoly called Telkom, who control all the internet traffic in and out of the country.

Telkom cache download files on their proxy server, and only clear the cache every few days. I am not the only one in SA who has had problem like this (but with other downloads).

The reason that renaming the file did not work, was that the cache recognised the original compiled name.

The solution is to use some download software, or hold down CTRL while the file is downloading.

Perhaps you could think of naming the next release as BV9setup.exe, or something more unique.

Thanks once again for showing such concern and interest, and for phoning me. I am a devotee for life.
