Mabye a dum question!

Hi,

as a new person to web design could someone take pity on me and tell me why I would use any oh the hotspot shapes in a site? What can I use them for?

From what I've picked up I gather they are used with the image map. Imagine a map of the world. Place a hot spot over each continent and you have seperate links to all the continents.

I think so, yes. Somebody will correct me if I am mistaken. Check out the 'Tips & Tricks' forum. Pablo has prepared a number of threads explaining many of the new features and I'm sure this comes into the image mapping one.
