is it possible to add 3gp movie clips to a web page without the person viewing the page having to download a plugin etc.

As far as I know no normal video player will play 3gp files. Even with a normal format you usually have to use it with its respective player (this goes for wmp, quicktime, realplayer, etc). If you want a more universal format most people can play without requiring them to have to download a new plugin is a flash movie. Most people will have already had it installed before they ever go to your site.

ive tried flash but the file sizes end up being 6-7 meg each far too big

6-7 is not so big the third vid no this PAGE ( the one with blank screen in the menu ) is 25.8mb
