Main Text Images

On the Main Page of Oscommerce I changed the main text with some html (inbetween the ' ' ) all is good except the Images do not show up? Where do I upload the image files? I have tried several places but none seem to work. I have tried just catalog/ catalog/images catalog/includes/languages/english but nothing so far.
