Going to install Oscommerce through FTP

Hi,
Well i am new here and need help. Actually i am going to install Oscommerce template through FTP. but it will be just a Test template, to know how oscommerce works. After that i will uninstall it.

1. So can i uninstall it and reinstall new template.
2. Can i install template through control panel after this test.

If YES :) then how can i do that all :) plzzzzz help
