Hi there, I am using paypal for my shopping cart. Here's my question. If you have only one item of a paticular product, it could be possible that two customers will try to order the same product before you can put a "sold" notice on the item or delete the item once it is sold before another customer attempts to purchase it. I have found no way in Paypal to have be able to put how many are in inventory. Do any of the shopping carts allow you to put in the number of the products you have in inventory and then will automatically subtract from that when a purchase is made? If not, how do you deal with the possibility that you may have two customers wanting to purchase an item you have only one of? This has not happened yet to me, but I think it would be a disaster if it did. Any suggestions?         |

Can you suggest some for me to look into? I have another site I am building and there will be only 1 available for each item. If that item sells, it will have to be removed are marked as sold or not available in order to not have two buyers at one time trying to purchase the same item. |

I use Cart Manager - that you can use by adding buttons - and it has an Inventory Control feature - but it is an add-on at additional cost.

Soho will do it as well as long as you put in the avaliability as 1 it wont let another one be sold. Should show up as out of stock. Karen

Thank you. I have been playing with soho trying to figure it out. Looks almost like the Os Commerce. Looked at both of them. They both resemble monsters to tackle.... dee |

Soho is much, much, much easier to use than OSCommerce. Yes, they all have learning curves, but Soho is easy compared to the monster I feel OSC is.
