Thread: Paypal - Merchant Account required?

Hi All,

I am very new to BV and Vodahost (as of 12-25-07) and am scouring the boards, in addition to building my website along the way. As I came across this board/thread I began to discover that there is a difference between a personal PayPal account and a business account. Basically, my question is: do I have to upgrade to a business account and a $30+ per month merchant account to take payments from PayPal? If this is the case, would I be better off with Soholaunch and another provider, or, is PayPal the most feasible option? Many thanks for any help anyone can provide!

No.. you are confusing PAYPAL PRO with paypal business or premium. Paypal PRO is a merchant acct. The other type are still free but charge fee per use.
