Thread: add additional options to pay pal buttons

I would like to add additional options to my pay pal buttons -

Quantity is one and a text field - this is in addition to the 2 options pay pal already provides - can someone help me.

If you google paypal buttons you will find there are many solutions to generating buttons..some free ...some not free. Many of them allow customized paypal button forms etc.

You can also contact navaldesign and check what his prices are. I believe he has a full CART on his site now for use with paypal.

Alot of my products come in varies sizes and colors how do I add size and color options to my pay pal buttons.

You have to customize the buttons. Its impossible to just type HOW because we have no idea of your prices and more. See the above posts about generating paypal buttons and how to

Also if you go to PAYPAL and GENERATE your buttons you can do alot of things there.. like colors and variations.

BV buttons are handy when you just need a simple button. Dont mistake that they will do everything for you.

Go to paypal ..

When you log into your account, choose your merchant service tab, choose either cart or buy now, the next page is where you will choose the option to allow you to enter your variables ...

- CHOOSE under the heading Button Encryption, (1/2 way down the page or so) - choose no, this is where you will have your option fields to create .. make note that you cannot have price variables, however you can have the two choices you have inquired about ...

paypal.com to be more specific. Also, you can not encrypt an add to cart button.

Oh.. you can encrypt buttons, just not simple cut and paste buttons. You have to add code to your site to encrypt the buttons, but you would also have to run your products in a database. Thats a whole OTHER can of worms.

For simple buttons tho.. do NOT use encryption, make sure to shut it off.

Hi there everyone...I think my question relates to this one, so I'm going to stick it in here in hopes that someone will see it and have a clue (cuz I KNOW I'm clueless! lol).

I will be selling one of a kind art glass on my site and I am wondering how to avoid having two customers purchase the same piece. If you don't check the "allow customer to edit quantity" button on the Paypal button will that indicate to Paypal that it is a single quantity item? And if it does, then after it is purchased will the "add to cart" button automatically disable or disallow another customer to purchase the same item?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

You need a database and scripts to do this. Paypal buttons by themselves wont.

Okay, Karen...thanks for the answer. Is there info about how to do that somewhere in Blue Voda land? I'll poke around and see what I can see, but if you know specifically, gosh...that would be great!
