Default PayPal button

Hi,

I am using the PayPal buttons first time. I have two buttons on one page and they are basically the same button copied and only the description changed.

The problem is that allways one button opens in an email with codes instead of linking directly to PayPal.

www.slim-healthy-happy.co.uk/main.html

down towards the bottom.

Need advice urgently!

Best... Dorothea

Not sure what you have done there but instead of copying just create a completely new button for the one that doesn't work.

Thanks for the answer.

That doesn't handle it. I created every button new. I have three on the page. As soon as I had the 3 button created the first button stops working and instead of linking to Paypal generate an email
to: Yourname*****.com
with subject line "Form Post from Firefox"

and the following content
cmd=_cart
add=1
business=shop@drive4life.tv
item_name=Bios Life slim⢠for people on the Go in pre-measured and sealed packets. 3 x 60 sachets a 7.25 g per box (435g)
item_number=Unicity 23998
amount=242
currency_code=GBP
return=http://www.basics4health.co.uk/market.html
cancel_return=http://www.basics4health.co.uk/survey.html
receiver_email=shop@drive4life.tv
no_shipping=0
no_note=1
shipping=11.50
submit.x=60
submit.y=9

It looks, that something isn't working properly.

Who could handle that?

I wrote already an message to the support team and they answered I should put a post in the forum.

If all 3 of the paypal buttons were for the same item ............
then start again.....get 1 button working properly first(as you did before)
then
copy the button to the other 2 places (1 piece of code will work for all three buttons)
..............................

If you need another priced button then you should be able to create it with a different code........try again with care.

p.s.
I usually put my button and code in a seperate html box
and then copy the html box to wherever I need it

OK,
I did it again.
One working button. ok
Copy the same without any chances: second button working fine
copy once more: 3rd button working fine,

BUT

now the second button doesn't work anymore.
There must be a error in the script.
I use the PayPal buttons from BV.

What do you mean with
"I usually put my button and code in a seperate html box
and then copy the html box to wherever I need it"

1) Are you using the code generation from PayPal itself or do you mean the Paypal buttons from BV?
2) when you have two html boxes, how do you do it with the linking?

thanks for your help.

2 posibilities here:
1) error in script as you have mentioned. (navaldesign will come in on this)
2) User error.

What do you mean with
"I usually put my button and code in a seperate html box
and then copy the html box to wherever I need it" (see answer below)

1) Are you using the code generation from PayPal itself or do you mean the Paypal buttons from BV?

I now tend to go to Paypal and set up my individual buttons
Copy the provided code and then
paste it into an html box.

This way I can have different values on a single page or multiple pages.
(see video tutorial on html boxes)

2) when you have two html boxes, how do you do it with the linking?

you provide the links back whilst you are creating the button at Paypal.
(It takes a little mor time, but the buttons can be encryped at the same time)

thanks for your help.

Thanks,

Yes I have a form covering the entire page.

Is this conflicting or what does this mean?

PayPal buttons are forms themselves (though you only see the button) So it conflicts because you have a form inside another form.
