    Question Paypal and taxes

Using PayPal ,is there any way to add sales tax by state? There is only one block to add tax, this would be the "home" state tax amount? Is there a problem with customers when they pay an out of state tax on line?

    Default Re: Paypal and taxes

If you are a properly established business and have been issued a State Permit to collect Sales and Use Tax, you are required to collect tax from all online sales that are delivered to your state only (from whence you've been issued permission), and which is not applicable to purchases made to out of state residents. If you do not properly configure Tax to be added to purchases properly and "innocently" collect tax you are not entitled or permitted to collect, you will be subject to prosecution, if not total angst by savvy consumers.

This is the purpose of creating a "local" tax, which is filtered automatically for you based on the shipping instructions configuration in PayPal, or simply as a State Tax. I am not sure if this setting option is available in the PayPal generator in Blue Voda, but it IS available when manually configuring buttons at the PayPal website itself.
