Here's something to read (if you need to fall asleep) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FAT32 this was something in Windows 95. You might consider outside help to load an operating system and Win XP. Wish I could help more but I am reminded of an old line (Disney?) "Look at the mess the sorcerer's apprentice got himself into"

I personally would recommend reloading and specifying FAT32. NTFS has more going on, such as error correction and such. But, FAT32 is faster and more compatable. |
