Need Help with Monitor Properties

I was in my properties for the monitor and changed the device setting from "use this device" to "do not use this device" and now my screen is blank. How can I set it back, so my screen will display the desktop?

Two possible answers that I can think of are:

1) If you have both onboard and plugin graphics card and it's actually the graphics card you have asked the pc not to use, you could unplug the card so as to return to the onboard graphics which would then hopefully get you at least basic graphics to change the setting back.

2) Reset the BIOS of the pc (look at your motherboard manual)
