Screen saver not working

Hello there everyone.

This is really weird, but my screen saver doesnt work at all. I dont know what the heck is wrong with it.. so help? please :)

Don't mean to sound demeaning or anything but I presume it is actually activated through control panel and the settings are correct??

If this is all correct then you could try repairing your windows or whatever OS you're using as your screensaver files may have become corrupt or been deleted by mistake.

Its also possible if you downloaded a freebie its chock full of advirus and your scanner killed it. If its windows included screen saver, then very likely its gotten corrupted and repairing it as above will be necessary. Or you could be low on memory, so windows wont load it.

Hey guys,
Thanks for the reply. Yeah, it is activated and stuff. Must have checked that 20 times just to make totally sure lol. I think something has been deleted and I have no idea how. Another problem that I have, I cannot install anything on my computer. Something about the Windows Installer or something. So I guess to fix all the problems, I have to reinstall Windows. *sigh* lol

or do a system restore if you can, easier than reinstallation

I agree with Liz ... if you have the .exe file of the screensaver try that,

have you blocked admin rights regarding the downloading and installing.

I couldnt even install that. So I reformatted my computer. Starting the long process of installing everything again. Was having problems with my wireless network lastnight. Going to try that again later. Thanks LadyEye!

You most likely downloaded it with that BLOODY free screensaver! Which is where your problems began YES?

lol Karen, I didnt download any screensavers! Thats what is confusing me lol. I havent actually downloaded anything that Im not sure about lol. Oh well lol. I think I have messed my computer up by doing the reformat lol.

Lady - I think its okay now. I forgot I had to install the drivers for the soundcard lol so all is cool for now lol.
