Yes, I can access "Guest" account files but not Admn. I use to log in using admin when I click that folder i get Access Denies.

I have recently just upgraded my motherboard as it fried and as such lost access to the windows operating system. I was told by the man in the shop the motherboard was a different chipset and therefore the OS was incompatible and I that i wouldneed to reinstall so this could be your answer too. I personally partition my harddrives so that if i need to reinstall the OS i only reinstall that part and don't lose any other info on the drive. HTH
