Default My computer has problems

Bluevoda worked fine on my laptop for months. However, I tried to use it last week, and it would not open. Today, I downloaded the new verison, but it will still not open. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but it still does not work. I don't really know what's going on... Has anyone had a similar problem? How can I fix it?

Thanks.

Are other programs opening just fine?
Are you double clicking on it to open?
Have you tried right clicking on it and choose Open?

What does it do exactly when you try to open the program?

Are you completely up to date with all the your Anti-Virus program and have you run a scan lately?

And have you added any other programs lately to your lap top?

Other programs seem to be working fine. I use my laptop daily for school and work, and all my Office stuff seems fine.

I double click the icon and right click-open, and the cursor turns into a hourglass for a moment, then nothing. My anti-virus updates automatically, and it says that it is up to date.

I can't think of anything that I have installed to the computer recently.

I opened Windows Task Manger, and Bluevoda pops up on the list for a second then instantly disappears.

have you tried opening it from your start programs list or by navigating through My Computer then finding it in Program Files? could be a shortcut error on your desktop somehow.

Sounds like a good possibilty. Try right click select properties then find target. Open up BV exe if it fails to load then you may have uninstalled more than what you anticipated.

It won't work if I find it in the Program Files either. BlueFTP doesn't work either... not matter how many times I uninstall and reinstall it.

Uninstall BlueVoda, then Go HERE and download the Internet Download Manager. Then download and reinstall BlueVoda through the IDM. You should be in business. If that works, you can choose to keep the IDM or uninstall it. If this doesn't work, then I'm out of solutions. Good luck.

I doubt it will help but try starting windows in safe mode and then using blue voda.

As watdaflip says, installing via safe mode can help. Also though tryn to run it in safe mode and see if that helps. Sometime it can be a fault with the operating server not liking certain programs.

Also check that bluevoda is not being blocked by your antivirus

I tried using safemode... no luck. I turned off my antivirus, no luck either. I wonder is there anything else that would block it? It's just weird... it worked for months with no problem.

It sounds like you have a corrupted registry, get some registry repair software.

Did you run a DNS Flush yet? (Different than cleaning browser cache).
1. Shut down all browsers and other programs
2. Start >> All Programs >> Accessories >> Prompt Command
3. Enter ipconfig/flushdns and hit Enter
4. Repeat
5. Shut system down, unplug modem/connection for at least 1 full minute.
6. Restart system

If that does not work, restore your computer to a time when all was functioning properly....delete programs that did not fuction properly before restoring, and then re-install them: if you need to download once again, use IDM, as it will catch all elements of a file (even Zipped files) when other means may not.

If this does not help, then you may need outside help (Geek Squad?).

You could try a system restore to a time before this problem started.
