Question Remote Desktop Connection

Anyone know how to do a Remote Desktop Connection without going thru the VPN? .. just type in the computer you want to access and you're in without being on the network of that computer?

Make sense?

"PC Anywhere" set to connect via Skype ...... dialing direct for anything is always better.

I don't want to be using any software, keep it Microsoft this time. Currently I have to connect to the office (VPN) then I can access the public folders, I want to be able to do one step and go right thru the Remote Desktop Connection.

Make up your mind, Jeremy! Either use a VPN or wire-direct: PC Anwhere via Skype will allow you to connect "wireless" and have direct connection without network protocol or configuration (as a matter of fact, you can even manipulate the remote computer entirely, let alone access files!).
