Help - Blue Screen On

could you help me please, my computer is giving me a blue screen with this technical information:

Hi, its one of those free fix your PC programs adverts. You need to run your (reputable) anti virus program to see if it will get rid of it.

A virus can cause this... so can a too full hard disk or hitting sector 0 on your hard drive. A failing motherboard can also cause this. Usually it will also give you a KERNAL Fault as well. To diagnose.. what are you doing when it occurs?

Run system tools, checkdsk to fix formatting errors and then run defrag after you have run a virus check. If the problem persists.. save all the informatin you can off your hard drive to disk.. and boot in safe mode. Try reinstalling windows without formatting. If none of these solve the error, then reinstall windows with full format. If these dont work its most likely new computer time, but take it in for a checkup to see.

Usually a hard disk or disk controller failure. Rarely, a system file failure. If you ar enor very familiar with PCs, your best bet is to take your PC to a service point.

When I had that a couple of years ago I had to re-install windows.

It can also be caused by a driver for some thing you use on or with the computer..... If you have a newer version of windows can you go back to a set up from before that happened. It's called restore..
