Could be a bad modem or problem with the line, either way you will have to contact your ISP provider.

Don't get me started on ComCast, been fighting with them over my dads connection for weeks now. If you can unplug your modem and it works fine for a while it is your modem.

Do you own the modem? If no then no, call Comcast (again) and make them come out.

Are you using a router or hub.. or are you connected directly to the modem?

Is your modem in a confined place where its getting no air and getting really hot?

Geeksquad may or may not help... but probably not.. chances are they won't have any idea of how to fix it and will just tell you to buy a new high priced one at best buy..

Your best bet is posting on a tech forum with people who have networking experience
