System Resources

Hi

I hope someone can help me. i'm not sure if ive put this on the right forum so please forgive me if i have.

Since downloading BV8 (which is fab) I keep getting a system resources message and I lose all the images n stuff that i'm working on in BV and my pc goes all wierd sort of semi freezes... I then have to reboot my pc and start over then the same thing happens again,

It didnt do that with BV7 and doesnt do it with anything else, it could be just a coincidence but just seems funny my pc is ok until i start using BV8

Any suggestions anyone please?

No allstar, i'm on windows 98! my pc is ancient but i havent had this problem before ...

mmm just wondering gives a better idea and a bump lol, have you tried to unninstall the b.v 8 and clear out all the files associated etc and rebooted pc then tried to download again ? or is this not poss cos you will lose all your work im not sure, i would try to delete it all then do a clear out in delete programes get rid of anything i dont need and then reboot then tr to down load b.v 8 again then re-install and see if you have allready done this i appologise now sounds to me like its conflicting with something at the moment bumpy bumpy

I'll try and have a clear out tomorrow just keep the important stuff and reload and see what happens...my system resources say its 71% free ...is that good or not?

yes it is very ok , i would take a look at the new thread that has arisen lincsady ,it is a robot one all about old p.c s etc it has some usefull advice you may like ,good luck and i hope you gt it sorted my friend

It sounds also like you might be running close to memory max - which is where I was with my old computer - you might have to start looking to see what you can delete out? Also, do a scan disck and consolidate everything you can.

Thank you , i think you could be right there on the memory, someone else said the same, i do have lot on my pc especially photos, i have ran scan disk a few times and defragged and all that, that will be my job for tomorrow then delete delete delete. :o)

Ive done some major house work on my pc deleted tons of photos 513 so far! and still counting ...and it seems to have solved the problem

Sometimes, if you don't want to delete them all, save them to a new memory bar- or even to a disk. I bought a memory bar just to keep back-up of all my bv stuff on - now, if I'd only be good and do the back-up regularly!
