Hey!

Great program! Have used it for many months now and I am very satisfied!

1. the instructions are great
2. you know who your dealing with from arround the world
3. great 3D image etc.

I am waiting for Microsofts' so called break through simular google earth system and would like to purchase a live version of google earth but it does come with a big price tag, hehe!

Jeremy-

How do you use this? As a "locator" for finding your office, or some other feature?? (I'm trying to see if it would prove useful to me also.)

If you want to find your office you will need to type in for example:

- Your street address and name (123 Fake St)
- Your Zip Code or Postal Code (12345)

and type it like this ... 123 Fake St, 12345

I know, Jeremy!
I was merely asking how you used it, and maybe would also hear from others how they found it useful too!

LOL!!!

OHH!!! Hehe! I may use it for direction's to get to a certain place if I do not know how like the Air Port all I have to do is type in my address to the air ports address and I am there.

I like it better then map quest because it's more visual.

It's a toy ! Distracting from work and pretty cool.
Not really satellite but rather low alttitude photos, so dont expect to see real time stuff. The Beta version has added a few changes and better pics.

I like Google earth! Its quite a handy tool for travelling.. The only problem is the images in my area are at least 4 ˝ years out of date. When I zoom in on my post code there is a vehicle on my drive that I sold 4 ˝ years ago? Do you know if your area is up to date?

Chris.

Hey!

Same here, if you want up to date stuff you will need to pay alot of money. There is this version they don't even let you download as a trial and you must contact them to get a quote etc. so it must be a higher upgrade - CNN NEWS uses it.

Ah-ha! So Google is the big brother. And their charging us to watch ourselves. Shrewd! Its ironic that it was an American & Russian that started Google. Maybe they found a way to tap into those satellites. Ha! What am I thinking? They more than lightly own them.

Chris.

I've always found it interesting that there ws never a live body in any of the images .... perhaps they bleak them all out ... yeah you can zoom right in on your house, well anywhere really, some areas are better than others .... this would be my neck of the woods ....

Nice program. Especially for runners, it's easy to calculate the distance of your training runs;

Tools, measure select path.

If you like Google Earth, you might also like http://worldwind.arc.nasa.gov/index.html

For those who prefer outer space, download stellarium http://www.stellarium.org/ don't forget to read the manual....

I think the latter is just great. You need to enter your location in order to view the sky is it presents itself at your location. It's in real time, but obviously not through a telescope. I understand you can interface with the equatorial mount of your telescope.

Try zooming in on Saturn or whatever.
