I just got an HP 17" screen laptop (not delivered yet) loaded with the MS Media OS, and am wondering if there is anything to be concerned about: I am an XP-Pro user from way back, so is this going to be something that will "add" or "detract" from my user experience? I am not sure if it has the 'full-boat' Office package, or if I will have to load it myself from another systems's CD. Other than a lot more versatility to fiddle around with music, DVD, and other media (I'm not a gamer), was this a mistake or not? Any advice, or head's-up you can offer???

I have a friend who went from 'pro' to 'media' because he has a lot of game, music and pic content. So far he hasn't complained about anything, but I'll check up on him. Don't know for sure about the office stuff. |

There are some differences between Office Pro and the Home Edition, mostly with PowerPoint, nothing you can't deal with.
