Thread: video file

I'm trying to publish a video just under 5mb with no sucess. It also won't work through BlueFTP.

Any suggestions?

Are you timing out? Is that the problem??

Are you able to just publish the page without the video??

It keeps timing out.

Sometimes things don't show up in the ftp like we think they have, but they are there ...

try inserting the link for the file you maybe uploaded and see if you can retrieve it ....

you can reset the length of time out as well under tools ... options .. publish .... in blue voda, increase that time and see if that helps ....

So you are not having any trouble publishing and viewing just another page that you publish now??

There has been server changes to voda 2 and 6 I believe, you can read more about this under NEWS if you are having an overall publishing problem ... you may have a new ip and server ??

Other than that, I would just keep trying, perhaps you internet connection is very busy at the moment, that happens, things should work itself out if you continue to try ... I don't believe 5 mbs is too large ...

I believe there are some posts around about using another ftp publisher, hmmmm .... I've seen Amanda refer to this at times ... if you can track her posts leading to this it would be good perhaps ....

I can publish other pages, just not that one. I've been trying for 2 days now. Thnx for your suggestions though.

Don't use BlueFTP to upload really big files. Get Coreftp or Smartftp (Google 'em) and you should be fine.

I downloaded CoreFtp. I got it uploaded. Thnx for the recommendation
