Exclamation Internet Exception 12029

Hello
My client ID# is 13671 and my domain name is www.discounthealthnetwork.com and I am having a problem trying to publish my site.

When I try to publish my site, it acts as of it is trying to connect and then I get an error message.

Error Message: Internet Exception Error 12029.
Details: The attempt to connect to the server failed.

Can someone please help me with this problem?
Thanks for your help

Yvonne

A 12029 error is a firewall issue error. This means that one or more firewalls is
blocking your attempt to publish with BlueVoda. Please follow the below steps:

97% of the time this can be attributed to your Windows XP Firewall Please follow
the following steps...

1) Go to your computers control panel
2) Click on widows firewall
3) Click on exceptions
4) Click on add programs
5) Add BlueVoda to your list of programs
6) Press ok
7) Reboot your computer

You have now successfully added BlueVoda to your safe programs list.
You should not have this problem again. If the problem persists. Your
computer might have a secondary firewall from Norton or MacAfee.
You will also have to BlueVoda to their safe programs list.

Also if you are working from an office or you are using your companies
computer or internet connection. You company probably has some type
of network firewall in place.

Please contact your companies system administrator for instructions.

Thank you for your help.

I am using my personal computer at home and the only firewall program that I am aware of is the windows firewall which I just added Blue Voda to. I then rebooted and tried to publish and I got the same error.

How do I find out if I have another firewall that is stopping me from publishing. Or is there another way to fix this problem?

Please advise
Yvonne

You can look in your control panel under "Add & Remove" programs and see if you have another firewall installed on your computer ...

Try shutting your computer completely off for 15 mins or so, even unplug it from the wall, wait this time, and then see what happens. Can't hurt to try ...

Good Luck, I am certain you will pull through..

Okay here is what I have to report.

I can publish to my other ip no problem, I cannot publish to ip 75.126.10.7 just the same as you, internet exception, server has been reset ...

I applied the technique as ***** suggests, and it was already in place anyway, however, even after reboot, I continue to get the internet exception details server has been reset when publishing to 75.126.10.7

Hope this helps ...

I am fine to publish to
74.52.137.210 though

Same computer, same battime - different channel, lol ...

Oh sorry if I confused you there ... you wouldn't be able to publish to anything other than your own ip address ...

I have a few different accounts that have different ip addresses, that is why I was able to test a few different ways.

I am sure this will get sorted very quickly, so just remain patient, and all will be well again soon ...

Your ISP may also have a blind firewall you arent aware of. You can also list safe sites in explorer and see if this solves any of the issues.

Hello,

I am having the same error and have tried the suggested fix. How do I "reboot" the FTP server, that seemed to work for these folks?
Help!
Thanks

Joe
