Question Published correctly..but..

Hi,

I have recently published my one simple page www.english-summercamp.com correctly but when I go to the site I am surprised to see
SERVER IS UP! and not my first web page. What have I done wrong?

You have not published a main page

You need to name a page index, save a page as index and publish a page as index

Only the word index

This will then put your website live.

are you saying that instead of naming my page "frontpage" I should save it as "index" and then publish it. Or I have to create another page called "Index"
I have tried saving my page as index and then publishing it. It publishes correctly as well but I still can't access it through internet.

You have published your page correctly

Your website is now showing when you click your url ....

publishing a page called index is the landing page for your domain ...

you can then name, save and publish any of your other pages by any name you give to it yourself ....

remembering, all small letters, no spaces in the name unless joined together by _

Congrats, you have done it correctly!!

Refresh your browser if you are having difficulty seeing it, it is there now ....

Refresh your browser .....

If you need to, turn your computer off and restart, your index page is showing.

If you click this link, you will see your site ... I do http://www.english-summercamp.com/

And you have another page published

http://www.english-summercamp.com/englishsummer.html

This second page is the same page as your first .... both are the same, and both are showing ...

You will only need one of these, so you go into your file manager and delete the file called englishsummer

The file called index is the one that you need .... this file brings you to http://www.english-summercamp.com

If you look in your address bar, once you are able to see these pages, you will see the url (address) appear for both of these pages ... Keep that in mind when you are checking to see if your linking has been done correctly, when perhaps you build another page, and you have a problem .... it's a good area to check firstly what may be wrong.
