Default rename a file

I have a file that has the % because I used spaces. Now I would like to change the file name. I know now that you must not leave any spaces when naming a file. How do I change the name of a file? Do I have to bring up my website using the FTP than change it?

Default Re: rename a file

is it a page that you published? or a file in file manager? If it's a page that you published, I suggest you go into file manager and delete the html page. In blue voda you can open the page, then click save as... and rename it without spaces using _ or - in between words. then save it as new name. then delete the old file with the space in the name. then republish the new one. The reason i suggest going into file manager and deleting all the contents in that file is because i did this once and it caused all kinds of link problems in my pages that seemed to affect all the pages in that file. kinda scary. I continued having problems till i deleted the whole file and republished the pages and the corrected page to that file.

I hope this helped.
