Server not found/404 message-can't find answer on forum:(

Hi guys! Have been looking in the forum for the answer, but not finding the right one...
Published www.woodlandparkrealestate-stagedhomes.com (finally got the rest of the mess straightened out :) It's a simple one page site that links to another.
Get an error page when I try to pull it up online;
...URL not found, ...in addition 404 error.

I know it's a simple fix, but darned if I can figure it out!

I ran into problems when I changed the file name to "site2" in order to make things "easier" for myself.......that went well :)
Sorry to pass on my confusion. Don't know why this isn't sinking in.
It publishes successfully using public_html/site2.
There is a folder in FTP and File manager that says site2.
The URL is http://woodlandparkrealestate-stagedhomes.com
Error message says URL not found (not "server not found" as in the title on the first post.)
When I get this right, I may never touch either site again!

Is this a new domain for you?
Have you added it correctly in your control panel?
Have you named, saved and published an index page?

Debi, you can't publish this add-on domain, which is another separate website from your memories.dvd site ... by the name of site 2

You instead need to publish this to

public_html/woodlandparkrealestate-stagedhomes

http://www.woodlandparkrealestate-stagedhomes.com is the name of your domain. And you can only add on a domain by it's true domain name.

Now if you wanted to run this as a sub-domain, then that's different.

But you want to be able to type in your new domain and come to your page, right?

Check into your public_html directory and be certain there is a folder in there now by the name of woodlandparkrealestate-stagedhomes

provided there is, republish this page to public_html/woodlandparkrealestate-stagedhomes

and all will be good ...

For your own safe keeping and piece of mind, think of this long name as site 2 - but don't write that anywhere ... lol
