Default Need help re-publishing pages

Domain name: keithfalkenstein.com

I am unable to publish edited pages.

What I am doing:

1. Deleting old pages from the Cpanel.
2. Deleting pages from computer and downloading them from the net.
3. Clearing cash with internet erasure and internet options.
4. double checking the server number and password.
5. reading the tutorials carefully.
6. publishing to index.bvp and public_html
7. Deleting old files from the Cpanel.

Help with any ideas will be appreaciated.

To republish some of your pages, you just apply what changes you want to the .bvp files that are on your computer, in the voda file, in your MY DOCUMENTS. open those, make your changes and republish to your public_html directory with your ip publishing addy, username and password filled in the publish box ... they will automatically overwrite your existing pages and your pages will show ...

For your main page, look for the .bvp file you named, saved and published as index

For your calendar, look for the .bvp file you named, saved and published as calendar2007

and so on .... these files will all be on your computer, reopen, apply updates, republish ...

If you are having any difficulty with username, password and ip publishing addy, check under news and see if your servers have been changed and a new server number may have been given to you ... without knowing what server you are on, we don't know for sure, but there has been a few changes recently, might want to check under NEWS.

Hope this helps ....

Ladyeye,

Thanks for responding. I followed your instructions and was able to update the main page. But when republishing the calendar2007 page, I still get an error 550 no such file or folder message.
The calendar2007 page is in a differant folder, however. I will delete that folder and import the page from the net in to the main folder, if I can, if you think thats a good idea. Once again, thanks.

Excellent idea ... yes do that ...IMPORT the PAGE FIRST just to be sure, and then you will have the file again too to make further changes ... you know what you are doing ... just make it all work for you and your viewers ... good job!!

I tried the above and this computer opened up about a hundred of pages and I had to crash it and reboot. But I feel the problem (not able to republish callendar2007) is in the files not being in one single folder.....
Does that sound correct?

I've experienced what you are saying about all those pages before myself, not sure what causes that, for the most part it works fine, but I have had that happen ... and you are right, there is no stopping it ...

It looks as though you have that calendar page published in the same public_html directory ... but you maybe have moved it ...

So, I'd start that page again, using your index page as the base and then just saving it by its new name and republishing ...

you don't want all those flying pages again, lol

Publish it all to public_html directory ... you don't need a subfolder or anything ...

Exclamation Re: Need help re-publishing pages

Hi folks,

I have published my page before but today when I did a re:publish it is not performing the way it should.

The border thickness of a square is partly shown and its background which should be white is not revealed at all.

There are 4 menus that should appear which were there previously which also do not reflect on the website.

Could this be because its the first time since I have published using the 9.03 version or is there some other intrinsic problem?

Advice would be most welcome

Hi Folks,

In follow up to my previous posting.

I think there might be a clashing of scripts on my page www.gnjgf.co.za I am not a script wizard and thus would not realise whether I have psoted the correct scripts to the correct section of the website.

This might cause the mnues not to load as expected - Please advise?

As to my other problems well I perservere onwards - I have deleted the old republished the new. Still no success.

Hi
We were up and running with our site www.reidsunlimiteddesigns.com for about 4 days when all of a sudden our pages were not accessable. Went and republished the index and it works. Any thoughts on how to restore everything? All the pages don't work any more.

I would continue doing what you are doing and see if after so many republished pages they all come back, sounds like this is working for you ....
